Akire's Family-Xerin Flickerclaw--> Akire's father. He has a brown beard and hair, and blue eyes. He is about Akire's height. He works as a farmer on Lewil, and his wife is Ryda.
-Ryda Flickerclaw--> Akire's mother. Ryda has wispy blonde hair and blue eyes, and is several inches shorter than Akire. She helps Xerin run the farm, but she sews and knits for the family and for selling at the market.
People of Lloches
-Estelle Werthyn--> Estelle lives near the Flickerclaws, and is one of Ryda's best friends, and often helps Ryda with her clothes stand. She has dark brown hair and hazel eyes. Her husband is Cadahn, and her son is Athan.
-Cadahn Werthyn--> Cadahn is one of the council members of Lloches, but he also runs a trading post. He has sandy blonde hair and green eyes. His wife is Estelle, and his son is Athan.
-Athan Werthyn--> Athan is Akire's best friend. He has sandy blonde hair and hazel eyes, and is one year, seven months, and two days older than Akire. His wife is Emili.
-Emili Fenyw (later Emili Werthyn)--> Emili is a girl with blonde hair, usually in braids, and large brown eyes. She is sweet, nice, and loves to sing. Her mother is deceased, and her father works as a merchant who often trades at Athan's father's shop. Her husband is Athan
