Sheppard
Name: Maj. John Sheppard

Nationality: American
Personality: Sheppard is more laid-back than most on Atlantis. He is a good pilot, and makes friends with practically everyone easily, albeit being a bit of a flirt. He likes, in his own words, "College football, ferris wheels, and anything that goes faster than 200 mph." He hates clowns, but has shown to be good at entertaining children with horror stories.
Best Quote: "If we're going to play the waiting game, the guy who's been around for ten thousand years is gonna win!"
McKay
Name: Dr. Rodney McKay
Gender: male
Nationality: Canada
Personality: McKay is very arrogant and generally thinks that all of his plans will succeed. He believes himself to be the smartest person Atlantis. However, McKay does perform acts of heroism, having saved the lives of members of his team on several occasions. He offered to be the first human test subject for Beckett's gene therapy and receives treatment that allows him to operate Ancient technology.

Weir
Name: Dr. Elizabeth Weir
Gender: female
Nationality: Canadian
Personality: Weir is in command of the Atlantis expedition, so she has to be commanding, but she has a soft side too. She is fond of Sheppard. (Me: *has a silent explosion of happiness*) She conducts negotiations with other planets, and likes hockey (random, I know).
Best Quote: "Oh my gosh! How morally superior you must feel!"
Teyla
Name: Teyla Emmagen
Gender: female
Nationality: Athosian
Personality: Teyla is shown to be a good friend to all she meets. She is commanding without being strict, and always open to new ideas. She is also an excellent martial fighter. Her favorite Earth food is popcorn, having been introduced to it by Sheppard. Teyla was the leader of a village on the planet Athos. When the village was attacked, she was captured by the Wraith but later freed by Sheppard's team. She and her village went to live on Atlantis.

Ford
Name: Lt. Aiden Ford
Gender: male
Nationality: American
Personality: Ford is typically very cheerful, and eager to do his best as a lieutenant in Atlantis. Ford was assigned to the base where the existence of Atlantis was found. He came through the Stargate with the rest of the Atlantis crew and eventually became a part of Sheppard's team.
Best Quote: [talking to alien children] "Do you guys know what chocolate is? No? This is gonna be HUGE!"
Carson
Name: Dr. Carson Beckett
Gender: male
Nationality: Scottish (yay!)
Personality: Carson is a little cautious at first, but rises to the occasion eventually. He is nice, friendly, and loves working with people. He doesn't like going through the Stargate. Carson comes to Atlantis with the expedition, and assumes the position of chief medical officer. Carson's main task throughout the series is to develop a retro-virus that turns Wraith into humans.
